rest. recharge. reset.

we offer brief, reparative spaces for activists, helpers, and artists to retreat from their work. often creative energy and community need are our driving forces. these can also become too much to bear. time for retreat and self-care is what allows us to give from full cups.

THE FILL YOUR CUP RETREAT

In Honor of Our Founding Friends

Picture

Crocker
1987-2014
Emcee. Curator. Activist.

Crocker's work, like all great art, asks probing, uncomfortable questions. It challenges dominant perspectives. It defies the mainstream trends, and speaks to the problematic, often unsolvable truths. He was not the type of performer who pandered to prejudices or stuck to formulas just to sell albums. He took his rhymes and beats, his lyrics and riffs, and used them to draw a line in sand. On one side is complacent consumption, on the other side something closer to the truth. His music stares you right in the eyes, and asks that unspoken question: "Which side do you want to be on?"
